• New free eBook by Lodewijk Kallenberg: Finite Markov Decision Processes and Markov Games. The 1861-page work, developed and revised over 16 years, comprises 17 chapters and 6 appendices and is freely available via ResearchGate.
• A new twist on the famous Monty Hall problem appeared in Alex Bellos's puzzle column in The Guardian: A new goat for puzzledom's GOAT. The puzzle was brought to Alex Bellos's attention by Henk Tijms.
• Nordic Winter School on Advanced Stochastic Optimization, NTNU, Trondheim, Norway, 7–11 December 2026. Participation is free of charge; PhD students can receive 5 EC upon completion of the course. Registration deadline: 1 September 2026.
